Intercity Bus
The Central Bus Station of Montreal welcomes regional, national and cross-border carriers. It is connected to the Berri-UQAM metro station.
Carpool
Whether you are a driver or passenger, you’ll find that Carpool Kangaride is a source of great savings and, above all, great encounters.
Carpool Kangaride currently provides its users with a service that puts in contact drivers and passengers who wish to carpool in Canada (intercity). It is also possible to plan departures from the United States.
Train
The railway company VIA Rail Canada connects more than 450 cities. If you come from the United States, climb aboard Amtrak trains, which offers daily departures from several U.S. cities to downtown Montreal. You will arrive at Montréal Central Station, connected to the underground pedestrian network and the Bonaventure metro station.
Plane
Located just 20 minutes from downtown, Montréal-Trudeau International Airport hosts forty of the world’s international airlines and receives direct flights from more than 130 regular and seasonal destinations in Canada, the United States and overseas.
Car
If you plan to travel by car, Montreal is accessible by road to those coming from elsewhere in Canada and the United States. Indeed, the island of Montreal is only 75 km from the U.S. border, and many roads and highways connect to the city, including the Trans-Canadian highway. Depending on your route, then you will take the main bridges - Champlain, Jacques-Cartier or Victoria - or the Louis-Hippolyte Lafontaine tunnel-bridge to get to the city center.
De la Commune Street, Berri Street or Saint-Laurent Boulevard lead into the Old Port and its parking lots. Parking is available at Clock Tower and King-Edward Quay.
